Mountain biking in Cabo aka Josh's favorite part about our honeymoon. Even before we were married he always talks about wanting to write a bike and how Louisiana is too flat so we he read about this adventure, he was all in. Being the loving wife that I am, I went along too! :)
To get to the mountain biking location, we rode in a van north from Cabo San Lucas for around 20 minutes and then got on one of the vans you see below and ride for another 10 minutes. Our van was having trouble staying cranked so it was just as much of an adventure as our bike ride.
Before our ride we all took pictures with this camel. Another one of their adventures is to ride on camels on the beach and the mountain biking was at the same place so they added a camel pic into our adventure.
This picture below is a great snapshot of the entire morning. Josh is smiling ear to ear having so much fun and I'm behind him thinking why am I not laying on the beach right now?
It was a gorgeous day and it was so pretty riding through the desert and seeing the Pacific Ocean the entire time. We also saw the oldest cactus in Los Cabos. It's around 350 years old! Here's a shot of the sun shining through it.
We were in a group with a tour guide, a photographer and three other couples. The photographer took great pictures of the group riding through the desert!
Here's Josh again happy as a clam.....
...and me with no smile at all. I promise I was having more fun than the picture shows!
At one point we stopped and walked out to the ocean. Our guide pointed out a sea turtle nest with pieces of eggs around it. I'm hoping the turtles made it to the ocean instead of being a meal for a fox or something.
The photographer had each couple take a jumping shot in front of the ocean. I'm pretty proud of ours especially since we are jumping in soft sand!
Here's a shot of our whole group.
This hill that I'm climbing below was a beast. You would think you were almost at the top and then go around a curve and see that you weren't even halfway yet! I definitely wasn't smiling during this moment....
....but Josh was! Even climbing hills was fun to him.
This view at the top of the hill was definitely worth it though!! Those black spots are where I didn't keep my phone in line for the panoramic shot
We made it to the top!!
My strong husband! I was a little disappointed that we also didn't take a picture with me holding the bike up.
That afternoon we went back to the resort and took naps by the beach so I got my beach time in after all!!
I'm voting that we take anniversary trips just like this one every year! I just need to talk Josh into it now.
