Matt visits us in Denver!!

I just got back from Costa Rica and I'm so excited to share pictures and stories from the amazing week there but I first wanted to share about our first visitor in our new house!! Matt came to visit us a week after we moved up here after he hiked and camped in the Wyoming woods for 24 days. We had fun being tourists in our new home with Matt!!

Josh picked Matt up in Wyoming late Friday night so they slept in Saturday since they didn't get home and we just hung out during the day and went to see 22 Jump Street that night. It's a hilarious movie!! Sunday we went to a church close to our house that Josh's old college professor went to and then checked out a farmer's market and went to one of the Tattered Cover bookstores. I'd heard that they were pretty awesome bookstores and I wasn't disappointed!

Monday we got up early to go to the Denver Zoo!! I was so pumped because I'd already read about how cool this zoo was supposed to be! We saw so many animals and many of them were up and active since we came in the morning. There were also quite a few new arrivals at the zoo and the babies were so adorable!! Here are some of my favorite pictures...

This elephant habitat was HUGE!! It's around 10 acres of terrain and one of the largest exhibits in North America.

The zoo has three adorable clouded leopard cubs. Two of them were born on Pi Day (March 14) and one of them is named Pi! It was a perfect fit to be my favorite animal at the zoo. The third cub was about two months younger and came from the Smithsonian. We probably sat here for at least 15 minutes watching them play together.

The two in the back are blurry because they were moving too quickly to get a perfect shot!

This monkey was such a ham and came right up to the window to watch us.

The next day we went to Red Rocks amphitheater to check it out and walk the trails. They were showing a film that night but we decided to just see the sights and then head back into town for the Rockies game instead.

We walked the Trading Post Trail around the different rock formations. It's a 1.4 mile loop that's 6,280 miles above sea level!

I stayed behind for a minute so I could get a cool brother shot.

When we got back from Red Rocks, we decided to go see the Rockies take on the Cardinals at Coors field.

We got cheap tickets in what was called the Rock Pile section but I really liked our seats. I mean this view was pretty awesome.

The Rockies won 10-5!!!

I left Wednesday night to head to Costa Rica so Josh and Matt had bro time until Saturday when Matt flew back to the east coast. They went to watch the US soccer game in Boulder, went to the Transformers movie and other manly things.....

I'll start writing my Costa Rica blogs soon so stay tuned!!!
